Celt Wars XII
Perhaps the final Celt Wars at Little Bennett. Fighting was followed by a Celtic wine and cheese social. Odd.

Defending the Gate
Mud. Rain. I did manage to solve the Quicktime format issues, though. So, there's that...

Pennsic 37
I prefer to convert the movie files to Quicktime format, but the current version seems to have serious trouble rendering lots of moving points... like, say,
several hundred helmets, bodies, and sticks flying around a battlefield. So, most of the video files are in clunky but functional Windows Media format which, at
the time, was up to the task.
I tried playing with the incredible zoom of the new camera by taking long distance shots from elevated positions (Town and Field Battles). For the Lost Boys Kamikaze Battle I just set up the tripod and let it roll, which is why the camera doesn't track the action.
Thanks to the lovely and talented Lanea for filming the Allied Champions Battle so I could go play.

Special Presentation: Pennsic 18 & 19
Any KF will recognize this video, which we watched over and over again back in the day. I finally had it digitized for the sake of posterity.

Highland River Melees 2008:
I didn't have time to stay behind the camera, but thanks to Adon I got two videos instead of one. The quality
of the film is exceptionally bad, though, due to the variable lighting conditions.

Celt Wars 2008:
Finally back in action with a new camera, after the Sony went belly-up at Pennsic.
Celt Wars was interesting in that we had fighters ranging in age from 15 to... God
knows how old Steeleye is. We had some veteran fighters, and a few folks who were
very new. Oh, and lots of shields, which just isn't our style at all.
Unfortunately, it seems that I lost several videos, including the 8 team free for all. Sad.

Highland River Melees 2007:
Although the fighting was good and plentiful, the conditions for filming were
terrible. Bright sunlight and shade screwed with the filters and focus, so
the movies came out grainy, when they didn't dim into oblivion. Anyway, here
they are...

Pennsic XXXV
A mother beautiful Pennsic with great weather and (almost) enough fighting to make me sick of the whole spectacle.
The Leisure Field in camp was very strong - for booze, shade, and good friends were close at hand. Still, we made it up
to the battlefield occasionally to swing some stick and take some film. Many thanks to Dan and the lovely Lanea for
assisting with the camera work.
I've reduced the number of seperate movie files this time around, so download times may be long. As usual,
it's best to Right Click and Save as... to your hard drive. All files are in Quicktime format.

Pennsic XXXIV
Beyond a few drunken louts making a nuisance of themselves this was an altogether excellent
Pennsic. Thanks to Keegan for filming the Bridges, the Causeway, and taking many pictures.
The new telephoto lense was pretty unforgiving of motion so you'll have to forgive the
shakey-cam.

Celt Wars 2004
As usual, the War part of Celt Wars was just a diversion from the drinking, singing and eating that
most of the folks were really there for anyway. I intended to get some night shots of the festivities
but I kinda passed out. So, enjoy what I got, but watch out for those damn garden gnomes.

Pennsic XXXIII
Another great Pennsic is in the can. Despite the Mountain Pass Battle getting rained out (damnit!)
there was enough going on for me to get my fill of fighting and shoot a ton of film. Thanks to Lanea
for covering the Lost Boys battle.
Again, these movies are big. Unless you've got a very fast connection, consider downloading each file
before viewing (right click, Save as...).

Celt Wars 2003
An excellent event with an adequate amount of quality combat and a really fine buffet.

In #1, Square plays "Impressive Crane Stance" but is quickly countered by Arundor's
"Dodging Monkey Belly Cut."

Pennsic XXXII
As I sit here with Pennsic dirt still under my fingernails, and plastic bins full of steaming laundry being thoroughly ignored,
I have to admit that this was a particularly fine Pennsic. No troubles to speak of, except for a bit of extra rain, and
many quality battles both on and off the war point list. Thanks to the lovely and talented Lanea for lending her
time and battle-savvy eye to this endeavor. The Lost Boys movies are all hers.

Kingdom Crusades 2002
Personally, I never really got up to full steam at this event. I don't know if it was the weather
or the overwhelming numbers on the Eastern side the first few battles. Anyway, lacking the
long resurrection battle that usually provides the best fighting, the bridges were the high-point.
Many thanks to Grommit for acting as my photographer for most of the war.

Pennsic XXXI
All of the movies below are from the Hadrian's Wall battle of Pennsic XXXI. I might have
had more combat film, but I didn't
feel like missing any other battles, and guest photographers are hard to come by.
Our camp was blessed by a hawk that chose our part of the forest for a hunting ground.

Pennsic XXX - the Porno Pennsic
Top of the pornin' to ya! More movies than normal, thanks to some help from Mr. Mike.
Lost Boys Kamikaze Battle:
This was the best scrap of the war, by far.
Relaxed yet intense, strange as is sounds.

Hagan #7.

but full of action.
